Adult Sunday School Fall/Winter 2011/2012

We normally meet from 9:15/9:25 AM up to 10:26 3/4 AM.
We are hoping that participants from around the globe will come in on Skype from time to time to lend their thoughts and insights.

The "Foundations of Christian Theology" class is planned to read through and discuss Wayne Meek's book, "The First Urban Christians - The Social World of the Apostle Paul."

We expect this to take us up to Thanksgiving and possibly to Advent.
We have been known to change direction in mid-discussion dependant upon class concensus.
We may take breaks if neither leader is available. We do however hold to Mathew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." So we generally have discussion if at least two arrive; then we catch everyone up the next week.

The outline with updated notes is available here in PDF format - First Urban Christians if would like to print it to take notes.
Printed copies with updated notes are 'normally' available each week at class.

If you have Adobe Acrobat on your PC you can save the PDF to MS Word format. The PDF file was created with MS Word 2003.

Downloading the free "Open Office" suite is an option if you'd like to use the MS Word version to take and add notes. When you select the "Open Office" link here, you may receive a pop-up asking you to save and run the file or you may need to click another link on the Open Office page. As of today, the download link is at the bottom of the Open Office page. This tool will read MS Office files such as Word and Excel. It will not open PDF files until they are converted to MS Word format. When you install Open Office be careful to check or un-check boxes for add-on programs and toolbars you may or may not want to install.

The ideas and opinions expressed in our class do not always reflect those of our local and corporate UCC.
We are an exploratory class bent on understanding our personal theology as we gain new daily insight to and personal understanding of God.
