Rev. Dr. Cynthia Mapstone

Pastor Cindy has served as Senior Pastor at the United Church of Christ(UCC) in Bayberry since September 2025.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Scranton, and a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degree from Northeastern Seminary. She has been an ordained American Baptist Minister since 2009 and maintains dual standing in the United Church of Christ to serve in pastoral ministry through the Oneida Association of the NY UCC.

Pastor Cindy is responsible for the overall ministries of the church which include leading Sunday worship, providing faith formation opportunities for the congregation, helping lay leaders develop their skills, creating and maintain ministries and programs within the church, providing pastoral care, planning and encouraging community engagement, performing weddings, funerals, baptisms and confirmation, supervising church staff, and participate in UCC life at the conference and association level.

Rev.Dr. Cynthia Mapstone previously served as the Founding Pastor of the Fabius Christian Church, Associate Minister at Dewitt Community Church, Children’s Ministry Director at the United Church of Durham, Connecticut, Staff Chaplain at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY. and as the Director of Philanthropy at InterFaith Works of CNY.

She is a wife to Mark, mother to three daughters, Lauren, Morgan and Taylor and nana to three grandsons. Her daughter Lauren is married to Cole Hoover, and they are parents to Malcolm, and twins Callum & Tristain. They live in Ephrata, PA. Daughters Morgan & Taylor live in Brooklyn, NY. Pastor Cindy& her husband Mark live in Cazenovia with their two dogs, Harper and Henry.
